coexist

The earthy colors and wild print of this Lady Marshmallow dress inspired me to get out into the open trails by my house where I found this shady little clearing. I love how the dress seamlessly blends into the rock bed making me feel literally one with nature (I know I’m so corny sometimes). The fabric has a dreamy flow when the wind catches it and the long fringes are so much fun. I have so much appreciation for the place this dress took me to because it’s the first time I stepped out of my house and into the sun since NYFW.  I’ve been stuck in front of my computer 8 hours a day catching up on life and improving my store bit by bit.  But I’m already dreaming of New York again - which I’m so happy to go back to in November! Only two months away…

summer gypsy

Been dying for an overcast day like yesterday to break out this bohemian-perfect Gypsy Junkies Sissy Cardigan. Love that I can easily throw this over a summer uniform but easily transition this into my Fall closet when the time comes (ah, soon!). I made sure to keep my inner outfit light and bright to keep this long black cardigan summer appropriate - though feel free to throw it over some sequins and more lace.

dream weaver

As much as I’m obsessed with maxi dresses, I just can’t wear them as much as I want to in this 90°F weather. That extra bit of cloth flowing over your legs act like an oven sometimes! Luckily a cloudy day came by so I snatched the chance at wearing a new dress given by Sugarlips. I know it’s not the first thing you’ll look at, but my favorite part is the way the top slinks down. I think it’s reminiscent of a silk chemise or nightgown - very flattering for the décolletage.  Call me crazy - first thing that comes to mind when I wear this dress is imagining myself in the middle of a meadow as a maiden, with deer and bluejays beside me, just before somehow turning into a princess (a la Cinderella). Yes, I dream quite a bit.
